We warmly welcomed our local councillors Christine McFlynn and Deputy Chair of Mid Ulster Council Denise Johnston into our school on Friday to meet members of our School Council.
The children asked lots of interesting questions based around our school and local area. Christine and Denise were able to inform the children of all the fantastic initiatives they have been involved in - most importantly the legislation on road safety around school buses.
We really appreciated Christine and Denise taking time out of their busy schedule to hear the voices of our pupils in St Patrick’s P.S. They very kindly give each child a lovely goodie bag and Councillor Denise Johnston even let the children try on her ‘chain of office’!
A fantastic morning for the School Council and one they will remember.
