We were absolutely delighted to receive a visit from local author and singer Sheena Wilkinson. Sheena is no stranger to the school having already worked with Primary Six and Primary Seven through 'Poetry Ireland' earlier in the year.
Sheena gave an inspiring talk about her early life and the path that lead onto her becoming a 12 times published author. The children asked Sheena some fantastic questions.
Since the visit we have bought a set of her 'First Term at Fernside' books for guided reading. Sheena has promised to come back to discuss this book and work with us in a book club.
We know Sheena's visit will have inspired many budding authors!
